with a black sharpie by the renowned French figure and glamour photographer,
Serge Jacques

This featured  b/w photo was originally taken in France sometime between 1964-1967.
Serge Jacques had an arrangement with an American publisher to shoot, print and send to the United States
images for use in the first U.S. "non-nudist" publications featuring nudity.

I had the good fortune to spend an afternoon with Serge in the Spring of 1999 .
He is a very charming man seemingly many years younger in age
than one would assume for someone who started photographing nudes shortly after World War II.
His story is chronicled in the 700 plus page book titled,  "
Serge Jacques
," published by Taschen.
We had a great time recounting our own involements with the business of erotica.
I took a sampling of many images I had purchased over the years that were photographed by him.
He told me that he had personally hand printed the photos I had brought
(some days he printed for 12 hours at a time, "...never seeing daylight...sometimes printing 100 enlargements a day.")
He also related stories about many of the models and events that had transpired during the photo shoots.
He agreed to sign some of his photos, and  urged me to "make him a present of some of them,"
as he no longer had the original negatives, and was very happy to see them again.
I left with a slightly smaller stack of photos, but am happy to offer you some of the ones he signed.

This photograph was originally printed for and used
in the production of a magazine in the late 1950's to the mid 1980's.
Any "airbrushing" was used to enhance the final appearance
of the image in the magazine, generally along rounded areas of the body.
In some instances it might have been used to "paint" panties onto the model.
Please note that this "airbrushed" photo, may have slight handling wear
as it has been handled by a graphics artist in preparation for magazine publishing.
It's possible that writing on the reverse has been impressed through to the front of the image,
but unless otherwise noted, it is off to the side and does not affect the model at all.

.  Any major defects will be noted below
It may or may not have border notations.

It is hand-signed "Serge Jacques" or "S. Jacques" with a black "Sharpie."
