Here is a water pump spring for the Case C and L model tractors. It was made in USA to original dimensions and size.   This will replace that missing or damaged old spring on your Case C, CC or L series tractor to allow it to run properly.  Same as 03154AB. This spring mounts inside the water pump and pre loads the seal.

This spring does not fit the later type water pumps on the D or S or LA models that use the automotive type sealed bearings.  Check a parts book to be sure that this spring will work for you.   The approx size of spring is: 1.97" OD and 1.6" long.

Remove the pump.  This is not always easy. To do it without breaking anything you may have to remove #1 wet sleeve and push the pump out with a porta power.  I have seen many broken pumps due to being in a hurry.   Dis assemble the pump. The spring is under the drive pulley with the bearing in the grease.   To rebuild the pump seal remove the pin holding the impeller on the shaft and machine the wearing surface flat on a lathe. The machined impeller runs against the bronze bushing in the pump housing.  Grease makes it last.   Replace the pin. Warning.  The pin is tight in the impeller housing and sloppy loose on the shaft.  It is supposed to be this way for the seal to seal.   The impeller must wobble on the shaft and the spring pre loads the seal.  If you break the main casting of the pump you have a nasty welding job to do.
